Mobile Broadband

Some laptops have built-in broadband, which means you can connect to the internet when you’re out and about without the need for any additional equipment. All you need to do is choose and set up your price plan.

If your laptop doesn’t have built-in broadband, you can simply plug a USB Modem or data card into your laptop and away you go. The decision about whether to buy a Modem or a data card depends on the type of laptop you’re using.

Mobile email

You can read and respond to your emails on the move using a BlackBerry or similar smart device. Your emails will be delivered to you instantly and you can download documents and attachments.

Web-based email – such as Google Mail, Hotmail, Yahoo! and AOL – can be accessed by most devices. Server-based email – like Outlook, Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange – requires a more sophisticated device.
