Changes to roaming charges

On 1 July we’re changing the way we charge for calls, texts and internet access when you’re travelling (or roaming) in Europe.

These changes don’t affect our rates to make and receive calls – just the way you’re charged. But the cost to send texts and access the internet will change, depending on which zone you’re in.

What are the changes?

Calls in Europe (Zones 1, 2 & 3) – when you make a call, you’ll pay by the second after 30 seconds. And you’ll pay by the second from the start of any call you receive.

Texts in Europe (Zones 1, 2 & 3) – send a text message and you’ll pay no more than 11 eurocents, excluding VAT. That’s about 9.7p.

Internet access – you’ll receive a text message that tells you the data charges for the country you’re visiting.
